About Courtney

From Broadway to the Boardroom...

Courtney Corey is a performing artist and teacher who has performed and taught all over the world. She utilizes her performing arts experience to encourage confidence, refinement, and creativity in professionals.

As an actor, Courtney has performed as "Elphaba" in the hit musical, WICKED, both in Los Angeles and Chicago. She has toured nationally and internationally as "Maureen" in both Original Broadway tours of RENT. San Diego audiences may have recognized her as "Barbara DeMarco" in the improv comedy sensation SHEAR MADNESS, in THE WIZ at The La Jolla Playhouse, in JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL at North Coast Rep, and at The Old Globe in DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS. Ms. Corey has appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW with Jay Leno.

As a public speaking consultant, Courtney has helped executives represent their companies with strength, conviction, and persuasive spirit. She has helped writers speak about their books as well as they write their stories. She has encouraged motivational speakers to rediscover what motivates them. She has supported transitioning professionals as they take the next step in their careers.

As a theatre arts educator, Courtney is currently a lecturer at San Diego State Unviversity in the Department of Theatre, Television, and Film. She has been a guest lecturer at A.C.T. in San Francisco and Saddleback College, as well as an educator at San Marcos High School, Poway High School, Eastlake High School, the City of Escondido, and at the world renowned Golden Door Spa in Escondido. She has maintained a private coaching practice for over a decade, working with professionals AND emerging talent of all ages.
